Love Actually's Martine McCutcheon Reveals Husband Broke Up With Her After 18 Years Together

Love Actually star Martine McCutcheon's real-life love story has come to an end.
The actress announced Aug. 22 that she and husband Jack McManus have split, adding that it was his desire to call it quits on their marriage.
"After much thought and consideration, Jack has decided it's best for us to separate after 18 years together," McCutcheon wrote on her Instagram Stories, "and I accept his decision."
The 48-year-old continued, "We are both so very blessed and grateful for our beautiful, 9 year old son Rafferty, [whose] happiness and welfare, has always been, and will continue to be, our number 1 priority. We both of course, still cherish and look forward to being parents together to our wonderful boy for the rest of our lives."
McCutcheon said that while the decision to end their marriage "has evolved over a period of time, we are still finding our new way forward as a family and kindly ask for some privacy at this time...especially for our little boy."
She added that their love for Rafferty will never change. "We obviously want to protect him,” she continued, “and help him feel safe and secure as possible."
The Kiss Kiss (Bang Bang) actress also expressed her well wishes to McManus, 40. "And I continue to send Jack, all the lock, luck and happiness for the next chapter of his life," McCutcheon wrote. "Rafferty and I (as always) are rooting for you!"
McManus has not commented publicly about the breakup.
The English singer, who starred in the 2003 film Love Actually as Natalie, the love interest of Hugh Grant's character, announced the breakup weeks before her and McManus' 12th wedding anniversary. The two married in Lake Como, Italy in September 2012.
"Happy 11th Wedding Anniversary Baby!" McCutcheon wrote in an anniversary Instagram post last September. "A tiny little snippet of our day today. I can’t believe we said 'I do' in Lake Como all that time ago, but what a magical, mesmerising day it was!"
