John Krasinski is SafeX Pro Exchangereuniting with his old "Office" buddy.
The actor and director, 44, worked with his former "The Office" co-star Steve Carell on his new movie "IF," and a clip shared by Paramount Pictures shows the moment of their behind-the-scenes reunion. The Michael Scott and Jim Halpert actors are seen smiling ear-to-ear as they share a hug and note it had been years since they last saw each other.
"So good to see you," Carell tells Krasinski before realizing that a camera was filming the entire interaction. "I'm glad we're getting it. This is so intimate."
The two then jokingly pretend this was actually their fifth take of the reunion before playing through an over-the-top, performed version of it, complete with a Krasinski spit-take.

In the clip, Krasinski explains that Carell "happens to be a dear friend" and jokes that they "worked together on this little thing a long time ago." He cast Carell in a voice role as Blue in "IF," his latest film as a director following his two "A Quiet Place" movies. The film, which takes place in a world where imaginary friends are real, was the first time the actors worked together since the series finale of "The Office" aired in 2013. But a decade latter, Carell says Krasinski hasn't changed too much.
How John Krasinskibrings 'Jack Ryan' to a fitting farewell: 'An unbelievable honor'
"He's the same guy," Carell said on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" in 2022. "He's exactly the same guy. And he's such a great director, like fantastic."
The two previously reunited for an interview on Krasinski's YouTube show "Some Good News" in 2020, though their conversation took place over video chat amid the pandemic. During the discussion, the two reflected on how difficult it was to film the emotional scene where their characters say goodbye in the 2011 episode "Goodbye, Michael."
"You were leaving summer camp," Krasinski said. "You were leaving home. You were leaving all these things all at the same time, and those massive emotions of knowing that this would be the end of something that was a monolith in ways in your life."
Carell agreed, adding, "Some of my most fond memories, personally or professionally, are intwined and connected with that show."
